Truelegal : a business law firm founded in 2000 by a legal entrepreneur, for entrepreneurs. We focus on English corporate, commercial, property and web law. Just like any other solicitors’ firm, we are members of the Law Society of England and Wales and are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Bringing Law Into the 21st Century
We trade on our personal approach, flexible and responsive working methods and simple and transparent pricing structure.
From our base in South West England, we use online and remote working technology to ensure that timely, quality advice is given to any business operating, or planning to operate, anywhere in the UK. But we’re more than happy to come and meet you in London, or at your head office or subsidiary – or even at the airport or a motorway service station if that works best for you.
Where appropriate we can establish a secure extranet link with you to share common ‘deal’ documents. Email document attachments and electronic mark ups are our bread and butter. Sensitive documents can be encrypted. Due diligence documents may be scanned.
Competitive and Transparent Pricing
Quality legal advice will rarely come cheap and many clients are now being priced out of an increasingly expensive London legal market, with hourly rates frequently in excess of £400 and even £150 for a trainee.
Our remote email/teleworking operating style means that overheads can be kept to a minimum allowing ‘London advice’ to be given at a considerable discount to London hourly charge out rates. In addition, although English lawyers have traditionally worked on an hourly basis, we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements such as a retainer, a fixed fee per job, or (where applicable) a percentage, conditional or success fee or, exceptionally, an equity stake.
So, if you’d like to find a lawyer with refreshingly transparent pricing AND get London quality advice without the London prices, contact us to find out more.
Our clients are a mix of business start-ups and more-established, larger companies and are based predominantly in London, the South West and Europe.
We have particular expertise in coaching entrepreneurs through the myriad of legal and commercial challenges that face all new businesses. We understand how important it is for entrepreneurs to react quickly to changing circumstances. And, as your business evolves, we can work alongside you to ensure that you are able to maximize your opportunities and feel empowered to make decisions on ever-more complex issues.
Above all, we understand that to be a successful entrepreneur, the commercials have to stack up. That’s why, hopefully, like many of our other clients, you will come to see us as business mentors rather than just lawyers.
If you’d like to speak to a lawyer who can also be your coach and business mentor, contact us now to find out more.
